What is Tracer Factory – Recalls Manager?

Tracer Factory – Recalls Manager is a traceability system designed to facilitate recall management. It provides ‘downstream’ and ‘upstream’ traceability through product genealogy tree visibility at the LOT level. By identifying raw materials and assigning them to specific LOTs, Tracer Factory – Recalls Manager keeps records of where, how and when every product and its packaging material was produced, the enterprise(s) that produced it, and where it was sent.

Tracer Factory – Recalls Manager is especially designed to meet all customer and regulation requirements concerning food safety and traceability.

Tracer Factory – Recalls Manager has been installed in Greek companies from almost all Food & Beverage processing sectors, such as Oil & Fats, Tomato, Sea Food, Animal Feeds, Bakery products, Agricultural products, etc.

Also, there is growing concern for traceability in the Packaging Materials sector. According to the European Directive 1935/2004 article 17, all packaging materials (paper, plastic, metal, glass, etc) that come in direct contact with food must be traceable. What is Product Traceability?
According to ISO 22005 Standard, traceability is defined as “the ability to follow the movement of a feed or food through specified stage(s) of production, processing and distribution”. After recent food scandals and incidents, the design and implementation of traceability systems has become an important task both for businesses and consumers, who view it as a safety and quality assurance system.
 
How does a Traceability System work?
In practice, traceability systems are recording keeping systems that monitor the path of every product and packaging material, from raw material to finished product. In the case of an emergency event, traceability systems provide all the information required to effectively recall the suspected Lots. Electronic traceability systems act as powerful tools for manufacturing companies to meet retailer and regulation requirements, respond quickly to exceptions and crises, eliminate human error and improve product quality and production procedures.

Gargoscan dimensioning software can handle the entire data capture process. It collects, merges and sorts dimensions, weights and barcodes in a database. The software is customized to meet your operational needs as it allows easy connection with your existing IT systems.

Remote Diagnostics

Our certified technicians can access the system remotely and diagnose all parts of the equipment anywhere, anytime. This is especially valuable for: 

  • diagnosing operator problems during installation
  • diagnosing failures in the system
  • collecting local data stored on the system
  • downloading software upgrades


Dim Central

The Dim Central software allows full oversight of your data capture equipment, no matter where they are located. Dim Central™ collects information every second and reports the real time data to one or more of your central PCs. If values drop below a specified limit, the operator can automatically get a message by SMS or e-mail. In addition to monitoring, Dim Central™ stores statistical data. The reports can be exported in formats such as Excel.

The supervisor screen gives an overview of the complete install base, providing a real time status for each data capture solution on:

  • status of systems
  • number of packages processed
  • number of no reads
  • number of packages not dimensioned
  • number of packages not weighted
  • and more

The CSN840 SingleHead is an easy to use and highly accurate measuring system of pallet dimensions and is suitable for regular shapes and any surface.

It can be purchased as a stand-alone unit to measure pallet dimensions for effective load planning and to avoid damages and delays.

The system can also be configured to measure dimensions of irregular shaped pallets.
