What is meant by the term “Manufacturing Operations Management”?

Manufacturing Operations Management (or Production Management) refers to the integrated set of functions that enables the optimization of production activities within a manufacturing company. Such operations include raw materials management, production scheduling, quality controls, product tracking and genealogy, warehouse management, intermediates management, dispatch units management, data acquisition, asset management, etc.

What does a Manufacturing Operations Management System offer to a manufacturing company?

A Manufacturing Operations Management System (Production Management System, Enterprise Production System) offers to the manufacturers the opportunity to efficiently manage their production activities. A Manufacturing Operations Management System includes:

HERMA 362c

HERMA 362 C - Side labeling with H400 labeller. A compact and sturdy labeling machine. The advantage: quick, straightforward and flexible retooling for precise side labeling. This system is distinguished by its outstanding production efficiency in combination with low investment costs. The conveyor is available in the lengths 1500 /2000mm (60” / 80”) and widths 50 /100 /150 /250 mm (22 / 4” /6” / 10”). A synchronous top belt can be used to stabilize the products.

The modular system can be fitted with either one or two HERMA 400 applicators equipped with a pivot beak. If required, a printer can be installed to allow for optional label overprinting, such as the date of manufacturing or sell-by date.

HERMA 652c
	Top and base labeling with H400 labeller. This fully automatic top and bottom labeling system sets new standards in the quality, precision and economy of labeling. The HERMA 652 C is specially equipped with top and bottom mounted applicators that simultaneously apply a label to both the top and bottom of a wide range of packs ranging from food to pharmaceutical products. The versatile HERMA COMPACT LINE modular system incorporates features such as a variable speed conveyor that allows the unit to be easily integrated into existing production lines. HERMA 452c
	HERMA 452 C - Top labeling with H400 labeller. 452C Compact, reliable, state-of-the-art technology for top labeling of a wide range of products and food packaging, etc. The machine can be supplied either with a fixed dispensing beak and a sprung-loaded application roller or with a pivot beak. The pivot beak allows for the precise linear labeling of objects with large dimensional tolerances, irregularities or recesses (such as margarine packs, etc.). HERMA 552c
	HERMA 552 C - Base labeling with H400 labeller. A proven solution for base labeling of products. The machine is equipped with a fixed dispensing beak and a label recognition unit. Label application is taken care of by the conveyor belt in order to ensure maximum efficiency. Products that are already transported in the correct position (in a production line, for instance) no longer need to be turned over for labeling. The labeller can be retracted from under the conveyor belt in order to change the label roll. Technical data HERMA 552 C - Base labeling: Applicator: HERMA 400. HERMA 152c

Wrap-around labeling with H400 labeller. The 152 C Standard and the 152 C Prisma – a machine range that masters every challenge of wrap-around labeling, even in tricky labeling tasks. Flexibly designed to accept an optional printing unit (hot-foil printing, for instance) as well as motorized unwinders and rewinders for a higher output capability.

The tested HERMA 152 C Prisma technology guarantees precise labeling, even if the product has minor geometric variations. Spiral misalignment is practically eliminated and labeling in orientation, including twin labeling, is no longer a problem.
